Abstract:

Studio portraits of various members of the Gill and Sanderson families of Petaluma, Stockton and possibly San Francisco and elsewhere in the Bay Area. Among the prints (PIC folders) are several portraits of Elizabeth Gill Sanderson, a few of her husband Henry (Harry) Ellis Sanderson and their sons Henry (Harry) and George; other unidentified groups, possibly descendants of the Sandersons; and a Maud Bell Jones. Cased photographs (CASE box 1) include 2 daguerreotype portraits of Elias Gill taken approximately 1852, and 2 ambrotype portraits of Elizabeth Gill Sanderson taken during her infancy.
